Our aim is to foster and develop the skills to learn, grow and succeed in the 21st century.

It’s been a busy and exciting start to Term 3, with our students achieving great things both in and out of the classroom. Some of the highlights from the first few weeks include a Ski Trip, excursions and plenty of knockout football as well as out major Careers Connect event for senior students.
Snow Adventure at Hotham
Our Clare High School contingent hit the slopes of Mount Hotham early in the term. With great snow conditions all of the ski runs and lifts were open, giving the group a truly memorable experience. Thank you to Mrs Holland and Mr Upton for leading the team this year. Look out for 2027 Ski Trip, start saving for a once in a lifetime school experience. ⛷🏂❄️
Year 7 – 100 Days of Clare High
Week 3 Friday, our Year 7s celebrated 100 days of high school in style by dressing up as “What I want to be in the future.” Students came dressed as teachers, tradies, special ops, therapists, vets, marine biologists, the Prime Minister and more. The morning was filled with pancakes, a special “Happy 100 Days” cake, and fun activities. A big thank you to Mrs McCarthy and the Year 7 team for organising such a memorable day.
Year 7 Parliament House Visit
As part of their Civics and Citizenship program, the Year 7s visited Parliament House, where they were warmly welcomed by Penny Pratt MP. Students participated in a ‘Mock Election’ run by the Australian Electoral Commission, learned about the history and function of the House of Assembly and Legislative Council, and even took part in debates to understand how laws are made. Thank you to our dedicated staff for making this valuable experience possible.

Our wethers performed brilliantly, winning Best Individual and Best Pair. Thank you to Tom Ashby for supplying our wethers and guidance, and to Dennis Dalla for judging and sharing his expertise. Bring on the Adelaide Show, the countdown is on!
We’re so proud of our students’ achievements and the way they represent Clare High School in the classroom, in sport, and in our community. 💙💛
Finally, this brings us to our major event for Term 3, the Career Connect Mid North Expo – Inspiring Future Pathways for regional senior students.
On Wednesday 6 August, Clare High School proudly hosted Career Connect – Mid North, welcoming over 200 students and 17 staff from schools across the region. Special guests included the Hon. Penny Pratt MP, Clare Feszczak (Executive Director – Student Pathways and Careers Division) and Education Director Susan Copeland.
Students explored two hands-on industry immersion sessions, gaining real-world insights into areas such as hospitality, building and construction, health, defence, ICT, fitness, trades, and more. These workshops, led by industry professionals, gave students a taste of what future careers might look like.
The school gym was transformed into a bustling Careers Expo, with more than 40 exhibitors from universities, emergency services, health, trades, and community organisations on hand to share advice and resources.
A free BBQ lunch donated by Lions Club Clare and Rotary Clare added to the community spirit, with students mingling and sharing their experiences from the day.
Career Connect continues to be a powerful initiative for regional students, opening doors to opportunities and inspiring confidence as they plan for life beyond school. If you are a local business who would like to join this event next year please reach out to the school to secure your spot.
Thank you to Kim Maynard and the Career Connect team, Michael Scarman, Chris Marks, Rosemary Goode, Jacob Hayes, Sam Eccles & Kylie Alozie for the hard work and dedication to pull the event together.
