Year 7 Camp – Port Vincent Aquatic Centre
Wednesday 4 March – Friday 6 March 2026
All Year 7 students will be attending camp at the Port Vincent Aquatic Centre from Wednesday, 4 March to Friday, 6 March. Over the three days, students will participate in various aquatic activities, including knee boarding, sailing, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding. For safety, all students will be provided with wetsuits and life jackets for every activity.
Students who are not attending the camp are required to attend school as usual and will be placed in a Year 8 class, following the Year 8 timetable for the duration of the camp.
The Aquatic Camp experience is designed to help students refine specialised knowledge, understanding and skills relating to their health, safety, wellbeing, and movement competence. Through a range of physical activities, students will develop advanced movement skills, deepen their understanding of body control and coordination, and learn how to transfer movement concepts across various activity settings.
Transport Arrangements:
Students will travel to Port Vincent via three buses from Fidge’s Bus Hire, as well as the shared Clare Primary/Clare High School bus, driven by Kristy McCarthy. All buses will depart from Clare High School at 8:30am. There will be a stop at Port Clinton for a toilet break and recess, before continuing to Port Vincent. Each morning, students will walk to the beach, and in the afternoons they will return to the campsite on foot. On Friday, 6 March, departure from Port Vincent is scheduled for 1:00pm, with an expected return to Clare High School by approximately 3:00pm, in time for school buses.
Additional Information:
A packing list and Water Consent Form will be sent home with students. The Water Consent Form must be completed and returned prior to camp attendance. A copy of the consent form is also attached for your reference.
