We're Over Halfway!

Term 4, Week 6 - 17 November 2025

Principal's Message

It is hard to believe we are already in Week 6 of Term 4. As always, this term is moving quickly, and the past few weeks have seen our school bustling with a wide variety of activities and achievements.

Our students have been actively involved in school camps, STEM programs, Knockout sports, and numerous excursions, and we are only just over halfway through the term.

Last Friday, 14 November, was a significant day as we farewelled our Year 12 students on their final day of school. To celebrate their achievements and farewell them in true Clare High style, the day began with a special farewell assembly where we acknowledged their journey, contributions, and growth during their time with us., followed by a pancake breakfast. The celebrations continued with plenty of laughter and fun on the slip ’n’ slide, giving students a memorable and joy-filled way to mark the end of their school years.

I would like to sincerely thank our Senior School teachers for their ongoing commitment to supporting our students as they completed their subjects and worked towards their goals.

To our Year 12s, congratulations on reaching this important milestone. We wish you all the very best as you embark on your next adventures. Your hard work, determination, and resilience have been outstanding. We are confident that you will continue to make us proud.

We have four weeks remaining until the end of the term. Please ensure you are all taking care of yourselves in what can be a really busy time.

Warm regards,

Natasha Dunn
Principal, Clare High School

We are delighted to introduce the students who will serve as leaders within our school community in 2026.

A special mention goes to our newly appointed Head Prefects, Ruby and Flynn, as well as our Deputy Head Prefects, Angus and Paige. We are confident they will inspire others and demonstrate outstanding commitment and enthusiasm in their roles.

Please join us in congratulating all of our new student leaders as they begin this important chapter.

Well Done, Alice!

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Alice McMurray, current CHS Head Prefect, who has received an Honourable Mention in the Minister’s Award for Children’s Week. Alice, we are incredibly proud of the positive difference you have made both at Clare High School and in the broader community.

Children’s Week SA is dedicated to recognising exemplary individuals and organisations who tirelessly advocate for children’s rights and wellbeing across South Australia. These awards celebrate those who make a significant and lasting impact on the lives of our young people.

Gawler Secondary Alliance

Clare High School is proud to be part of the Gawler Secondary Alliance (GSA), a partnership with six other public secondary schools across the region. The Alliance has been established to broaden opportunities and reduce barriers to learning by enabling students to access a wider range of subjects and specialist teaching, no matter which school they attend.

Starting in 2026, the GSA will offer an expanded selection of subjects to senior secondary students—delivered both in person and via innovative digital technologies. This collaborative approach allows students to take part in courses that may not have been available at their own school, preparing them with valuable skills for further study or employment.

Through shared resources and expertise, the GSA aims to strengthen connections between schools and ensure every student can pursue their interests and achieve success close to home.

Student Wellbeing Resources

At Clare High School, the wellbeing of our students is at the centre of everything we do. We strive to develop the ‘whole-person’ and take pride in our approach to individualised learning that respects individual differences and fosters and grows the values and strengths of each of our students.

We see wellbeing as an integral part of our students learning experience and believe that with a positive wellbeing, students and staff alike, have better resilience and coping strategies, have a more positive outlook on life and are more likely to achieve success.
