Principal’s Message – Term 4, Week 1

Term 4 - Welcome Back!

Term 4, Week 1 - 17 October 2025

Welcome back to Term 4. It is one of our busiest terms, with a whole range of different activities, events and presentations that will include the whole community.

Firstly, I would like to congratulate Trudy Hart and the Music students for their amazing showcase of their talents at the annual CHS Arts Cabaret in week 10 last term. I really enjoyed seeing our students perform and their passion for their learning was evident from every student. I am very proud of the music program here at CHS which is one of the strongest programs in rural South Australia.

Our Year 11 and 12 Tourism students have also had their camp to Adelaide this week and were able to put their learning into practice, whilst our Middle School students were involved in the Arista STEM Incursion.

This Saturday the CHS Governing Council will be running their annual BBQ at the Clare Show. Please come along and support the school. We would love to see you there.

Year 12 students are also deep into their last weeks of learning and final exams will begin in week 4, followed by the 2025 Formal in week 6. Senior school teachers are working extremely hard with all of your students to help them achieve their goals this year, but it is a time that requires student commitment and resilience with the stress of external tasks and exams all due at the same time. Please remember that the ATAR is not an indication of the success of your child in the future and is merely a single measure at a moment in time for them. It is also only one of many different ways to access tertiary studies now. If you would like some more information about this, please contact either our SACE leader, Kylie Alozie or Senior School leader, Jacob Hayes.

As I mentioned previously, this term is a busy one so please look out for our weekly activities updates on Facebook as well as the school calendar on our website.

Warm regards,

Natasha Dunn
