Overview: This hands-on course introduces students to the fundamentals of automotive maintenance and repair. Students will:

  • Use tools and machines to work on engines and vehicles.
  • Disassemble, diagnose, and repair 4-stroke and other internal combustion engines.
  • Learn basic car maintenance and repair.
  • Explore car purchasing and trip planning.
  • Prepare for the Online Learners’ Test and understand road safety and vehicle ownership.

Assessment: Students are assessed using the Australian Curriculum Achievement Standards.
