Celebrating Excellence at Clare High School

14 May 2025

At a proud graduation ceremony held at Bonython Hall, University of Adelaide, on Tuesday 13th May 2025, two outstanding Clare High School educators were recognised for their remarkable academic achievements.

Shannon Upton, a dedicated graduate teacher, completed a double degree in a Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary) and a Bachelor of Science. His passion for both education and science promises a bright future for his students and his teaching profession.

Kylie Alozie, our Deputy Principal, earned a Master of Education in Leadership and Innovation. Kylie was also awarded the prestigious Anthony Patten Award—the highest honour in her cohort—for her outstanding contribution to education research.

The Anthony Patten Award, established in 2019 through a donation from Virginia Early in honour of her late husband Anthony Patten (MEd 2018), celebrates excellence in educational leadership and a deep belief in the power of education.

We are incredibly proud that both Shannon and Kylie call Clare High School home. Their achievements are a testament to their dedication, talent, and inspiring commitment to the future of education.
