At Clare High School, the Health and Physical Education (HPE) curriculum is designed to promote physical literacy, healthy behaviours, and personal decision-making from Years 7 through 10.
In the junior years, students engage in a variety of physical activities, including different types of games and fitness programs, while also focusing on health topics such as mental wellness, drug education, and sexual health.
The Year 10 curriculum includes more specialized options such as Coaching and Leadership, Outdoor Education, and specialist courses in AFL and Recreational Health.
For senior students, Stage 1 and 2 courses offer advanced study in Physical Education and Health & Wellbeing, emphasizing performance analysis, health literacy, and environmental sustainability through outdoor education.
The programs aim to equip students with the skills and knowledge to lead healthy, active lives and pursue further study or careers in sports and health-related fields.
