At Clare High School, the Language Studies offering for Years 7 and 8 is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of language and culture.
The curriculum emphasizes the evolution of languages, their cultural and historical contexts, and their role in our diverse world. Through the study of various languages, students enhance their intercultural understanding, identity, and overall literacy skills.
The course aligns with the Australian Curriculum, focusing on two main strands: Communicating and Understanding. This flexible program can be adapted to fit local resources and needs. For subjects not available at Clare High School, such as certain languages, students have the option to enroll in Open Access College courses, with support provided by the school for online learning and assessment.
