The Youth Opportunities program at Clare High School, designed for Year 10 students, focuses on personal leadership and empowering students to take control of their lives.
Spanning 10 weeks, the program covers four core decisions: Decide to be Happy, Decide to Goal Plan, Decide to Send Stars, and Decide to Grow.
Students participate in a 60-hour course, guided by two trained facilitators, where they engage in group discussions, videos, self-reflection, goal planning, and personalized coaching.
This practical framework helps students develop purpose, create motivational habits, and build the confidence to succeed academically, socially, and personally.
Assessment is based on the SACE Performance Standards in Integrated Learning, with evaluations on practical exploration, connections, and personal ventures. This program aims to ensure that students not only cope with challenges but thrive in all aspects of their lives.
