Clare High School’s Commitment to Sports Excellence

Clare High School has a long history of involvement and success in a range of sports that are offered in addition to the general curriculum. Catering for students from Year 7 – 12 means that we are involved in both the SAPSASA and SSSSA programs.

Term 1: Swimming and Athletics Carnivals

In Term 1, all of our students are involved in the school’s Swimming and Athletics Carnivals, with the winning competitors (from Yr 8 – 12) going on to participate in both the Lower North Zone Carnival as well as the State Championships on behalf of the school.

Statewide Knockout Cup Competitions

Across the year, students are invited to try out for a range of offerings in the statewide Knockout Cup competition, which has competitions for both the Yr 8/9 and Open age groups. Clare High School enters teams in Basketball, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Netball, Touch, and Volleyball.

Opportunities for State Representative Teams

In addition to the offerings outlined above, individual students are able to apply for selection into State Representative Teams that compete in national competitions in the following sports: Baseball, Football, Golf, Hockey, Netball, Softball, Surfing, Swimming, Tennis, Triathlon, and Touch.

SAPSASA Sports Calendar

The SAPSASA calendar includes competitions for Athletics, Swimming, Softball, Cross Country, Football, Netball, Golf, Basketball, Hockey, Soccer, Cricket, and Tennis.
