Year 7-9 End of Year Activities – Week 9, Term 4

We’re looking forward to a great finish to the school year!

 

Year 7/8 Students

In Week 9 the Year 7/8 students are involved in presenting their Junior Secondary End of Year Presentation to their Roll Class. They have Thursday and Friday this week to prepare these. They are also involved in Activity Sessions across Monday to Friday. Each of these Activity Sessions will be run by different staff and will include student choice within. If leaving site or a cost then there will be a separate consent.
On Thursday the Year 7/8 and M7/P75 Excursion will involve a visit to Blyth Cinema with their Year 7/8 Roll Class teachers, Mrs McCarthy and Ms Liebelt. The Year 8’s will head to the Cinema in the morning whilst the Year 7’s head to the Valleys Pool. The Year 7’s will head to the Cinema in the afternoon whilst the Year 8’s head to the Valleys Pool. The school will cover the cost of the Blyth Cinema and Valley’s entry however student can bring money for snacks. We will supply a BBQ lunch for both Year 7 and 8’s.

Year 7/8 Students wishing to participate in the End of Year excursion to Blyth Cinema and The Valleys Swimming Pool MUST complete the following forms and return to their Roll Class Teacher.

Year 9 Students

In Week 9 the Year 9’s undertake their Rite Journey Presentations. Students come in with their parents and mentors for their booked Rite Journey Presentation time only on Monday or Tuesday. Year 9’s have their final day on Wednesday when they join with the Year 7 and 8’s for Pink Stumps Day before joining the Year 7 and 8’s for activities in Lesson 5 and 6.

Uniforms

All students are to wear their CHS Uniform each day except for Pink Stumps Day.

Pink Stumps Day

On Wednesday the Year 7-9 students will be involved in Pink Stumps Day. This SRC run event raises money for the McGrath Foundation to assist with funding McGrath Breast Care Nurses.

This event will take place on our Main Oval and there will be a BBQ and soft drinks for sale.

Students are encouraged to bring a gold coin donation and wear pink.
