Content: In Year 10 at Clare High School, students can advance their Arts education with specialized courses designed to build on previous learning and prepare for senior studies. Visual Art, led by Tenille Mannion, focuses on refining students’ skills and understanding through thematic projects that explore personal and environmental influences on their artwork. Design, taught by Dan Bradley, builds on earlier knowledge to tackle complex design briefs across graphic, product, and environmental design, emphasizing problem-solving and theoretical analysis. Performing Arts, under Phillip Parslow, encourages students to explore and express personal and cultural narratives through drama, enhancing their performance and analytical skills. Music A & B, guided by Trudy Hart, offers a comprehensive introduction to solo and ensemble performance, theory, and event management, with a recommendation for ongoing private or DE lessons. Media Arts, also with Dan Bradley, allows students to engage in advanced digital creation using various software and equipment, culminating in a personalized digital folio. Each course is assessed according to Australian Curriculum Achievement Standards, with some requiring additional fees for materials or performances.
