Historical knowledge and understandings are developed using inquiry questions. The key inquiry questions for Year 7 are:

  • How do we know about the ancient past?
  • Why and where did the earliest societies develop?
  • What emerged as defining characteristics of ancient society?
  • What have been the legacies of ancient societies?

Assessment: Students are assessed using the Australian Curriculum Achievement Standards.
